Caloric Deprivation or Indulgent Breakfast?

The first meal of the day was Jacob's "famous" pancakes. Could the case be made that every time Jacob prepares a foodstuff it automatically becomes famous? Perhaps. Anyway, at two thick but small whole-wheat cakes per person, with approx. 10 blueberries, it was a delicious side for a complete breakfast. Except, that was the complete breakfast. Wow!

  1. You forget that Debbie and Jake are little people. less body mass, less caloric consumption necessary. Also of note, these pancakes were wholegrain, and therefore more filling. that said, Jacob acknowledged that the recipe did not yield as many famous pancakes as desired, and next time plans to multiply it by 1.5.

  2. other than ben i believe that everyone else felt quite satiated by these very substantial and nutritious pancakes. i do plan to make more in future, primarily to address ben's voracious appetite.

certain of my preparations have been recognized as world famous, but this is an honor thrust upon me, over which i have no control.

  3. perhaps if Ben were a slightly less neurotic exerciser he would have a slower metabolism and therefore require fewer pancakes. but that would be bad for the economy. keep running, Ben.

  4. With hot chipotle sauce and cottage cheese, they were quite delicious.
